Most of us didn't sign up to be photographers because we were amazing at marketing...

Since you started photography, you may have built up wonderful skills and learned so much about your craft but if you aren't booking as much as you could it could be because your website and marketing strategy don't have the pieces in place that they NEED so that your business can reach it's full potential.

I'm going to walk you through the foundational elements of a successful photography website including user-friendly design, compelling content, and the importance of providing a clear path to booking for prospective clients. Having a pretty website and cool features doesn’t mean it’s converting your viewers into clients. Together, we’re going to dive into what exactly does!

After taking this course you'll feel confident on how to layout your website in a way that showcases your session types in a clear way so you can attract and retain clients who love the art you create.

The goal is to create a website that works as your sales person so you can spend more time shooting, spending time with loved ones and marketing to hit your income goals.

Who is teaching this course?

I’m Fiona, a family photographer of 12 years, marketing mentor since 2019, podcast host, mama to two girls, lover of exploring my beautiful state and teaching other creative women to gain clarity and confidence to build profitable businesses.

Over the past 12 years, I have marketed my photography business through recession + boom economies. I have tested and tweaked and tried pretty much every marketing strategy that there is from sponsored events, event booths, print ads, Facebook ads, stories, reels, TikTok-- even post cards in the local coffee shops. I am not afraid to test and try things and share everything I have learned with you and help you apply marketing techniques that feel aligned with the type of photography business you are trying to grow.

There is pretty much nothing I love more than helping photographers streamline their visibility so they can focus on creating more art they love. I love it so much that I am 50 episodes into my Podcast, The Family Photographer Marketing Podcast.

I have reviewed the websites of over 100 family photographers all over the US and from that work, I was able to identify the issues that were confusing potential clients instead of delighting them.

My website has allowed me to book sessions while I am out playing my family, shooting other sessions and marketing my business. Yours can too!

Common Questions

  1. What if I already like my website? YOU may love your website, but potential clients may still be getting lost, confused, overwhelmed or underserved. If your website isn't helping you book clients while you are off shooting, hanging with your family or sleeping- there may be room to grow.
  2. What if I don't have a website? Perfect! You can use what you learn here as a framework to build yours.
  3. What if I don't have time to work on my website? A good website will FREE up your time because it can help clients build trust with you and your art without emailing you 24,000 questions. This foundational work is worth shifting things around to make time.
  4. What if I have super technical questions about SEO? This course will touch on SEO but it is not an SEO course. I do list really helpful resources from actual SEO pros so that you can start ranking and correctly index your site. If you have a site that is clear, easy to navigate and delightful to your clients, that will help your SEO no matter what else you do.
